The Youth Are Dead
by Fr. Mousa Haddad, Proistamenos of St. Mary Orthodox Church (Antiochian)
Fr. Mousa asks the brazen question: Are  our children spiritually dead? If so, who is responsible?  And what can we do to bring them back to life (a life in Christ)?
St. Mary, the patron saint of Fr. Mousa’s church, was spiritually dead due to her carnal life beginning in her teenage years as a prostitute.  But she became a saint because of her great repentance.
Her feast day is always celebrated this Sunday, two weeks prior to Holy Week, as an example that spiritual resurrection is possible in this life.
