The Falling Asleep of Andreas Kazakos

Andreas Kazakos July 10, 1948 - August 24, 2021 It is with great sadness, yet with the hope of the resurrection, that we inform you, that our beloved brother in Christ, Mr. Andreas Kazakos, has fallen asleep in the Lord.  Andreas Theodore Kazakos passed away on August 24, 2021, at the age of 73 after several years with persistent health concerns, notably with his lungs.  Andreas was the beloved husband of the late Vasiliki Kazakos of Saranti, Greece, the love of his life, with whom he was united on July 3, 1977, and with whom he will return to in spirit and soul. He is survived by his nurturing and loving wife, Elyziel Servano; his four, loving children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Gus Siokis, Theodore and Frances Kazakos, John and Nia Kazakos, and Alexander Kazakos; and his 12 doting grandchildren; his sister, Fotini Ziogas; his sister, Maria Ballas, and her husband Gregory Ballas; his brother, George Kazakos, and his wife Eleni; his brother, Anastasios Kazakos and his wife St

Susan Morgan Washinsky July 12,1961 – August 21, 2021 It is with great sorrow, yet with the hope of the resurrection, that we inform you, that our beloved sister in Christ, Mrs. Susan Washinsky, has fallen asleep in the Lord. After a brave struggle, Susan passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord at her home in Clemmons.  Born in Greensboro, NC, daughter of Betty (Deceased) & Howard Morgan of Willis, VA. Survived by her husband of 32 years, John of Clemmons, son Michael of High Point, sister Lisa Morgan of Winston Salem.  She was a 1983 Graduate of UNCG with a BS in Mathematics and Spanish.  Employed as a Benefits Analyst for Booke & Co. and AON from 1983 until 2008, when she accepted the role of Office Manager for the family business, All Things Ukrainian. Susan was a lover of languages, fluent in Spanish, Ukrainian, Italian, German, and Greek. She used her skill to help others and translated for Sunnyside Ministries in Winston Salem, and in Guatemala for the Orthodox Christ

Weekly Bulletin   Sunday August 22, 2021.pdf COVID Update August 20, 2021 Dear Parishioners: As you all have probably heard, Mayor Allen Joines has imposed another face mask mandate for the City of Winston-Salem (see below), which will go into effect Friday, August 20th at 5:30pm. Worship Services are exempt from this mandate. In addition to the Mayor's mandate for the city, the Holy Metropolis of Atlanta, out of sense of pastoral responsibility, in order to help and insure the health and safety of all faithful, encourage all parishioners upon entering the Church to please wear a protective face mask.   Therefore, adhering to the Metropolis's most recent guidelines, we too advise that the faithful who want to participate in the Services of our Church, to please consider wearing a face mask.   Also, if you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, or if you have been exposed to anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, please consider worshiping virtually via our on-line servi
