May 22, 2023 Our beloved Parishioners, Stewards, and Friends of our Annunciation Church, Christ is Risen! Truly He is Risen! Χριστός Ανέστη! Αληθώς Ανέστη! As we continue our spiritual journey of the Great Dominical Feast of the Holy Resurrection of our Lord and Savior God, Jesus Christ, we hope and pray,  that each one of you, and your beloved families are doing well.   With the Grace of God, and of course with the well-organized and capable efforts of all our volunteers, we just experienced a very successful and momentous 2023 Greek Festival. On behalf of the entire Annunciation Parish, we would like to express our wholehearted thankfulness, and sincere appreciation, to the Chairman and all the members of our Greek Festival Board, along with all the volunteers who worked really hard to make our 2023 Greek Festival such an amazing and outstanding Church event. Dear Parishioners, this is a message regarding VOLUNTEER PARKING during the GREEK FESTIVAL: FESTIVAL VAN SHUTTLE SCHEDULE   Friday & Saturday 9:00AM - 10:30PM Continuously Sunday 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Continuously   PARKING ·   ON FRIDAY - Our volunteers may ONLY park at the CHURCH OF CHRIST on Keating Drive,  AFTER 1:00 PM.  PLEASE DO NOT PARK THERE BEFORE 1:00 PM.  Church Volunteers may park at the back parking lot at the SOCCER FIELDS.    ·   FRIDAY AFTERNOON & EVENING -  ALL VOLUNTEERS WILL PARK AT THE PARK WEST OFFICE BLDG   next to Silas Creek & Country Club   Park away from the building during their office hours.      The  SHUTTLE VAN  will pick you up. ·   SATURDAY & SUNDAY - ALL DAY  -  PARK AT PARK WEST BLDG. The Falling Asleep of John Evangelos Pantazis

John Evangelos Pantazis December 8, 2023 - May 2, 2023 John Evangelos Pantazis entered into his heavenly life on Tuesday, May 2, 2023. He was born in Athens, Greece on December 8, 1938 to Evangelos and Georgia Pantazis. John graduated from Hymettus High School and as a young boy worked as a printer in the local newspaper office. He then served two years in the Air Force in Greece. John was also a great athlete and a talented soccer player who played for the Haravgiakos Soccer Team in Athens, Greece when he met the love of his life, Louisa Papadis Pantazis.  He came to America with his new bride in 1960 with only a suitcase in his hand determined to achieve the American Dream and found a job in a Greek restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia, making 25 dollars a week. John was persistent, dependable, hard-working and strong-willed. With these attributes, he quickly became the head chef of the restaurant.  In 1964, he had the opportunity to open up his own restaurant in Spartanburg,
