The falling asleep of Panagiotis Sklapanis
It is with great sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we announce the falling asleep of our brother in the Lord, Panagiotis Sklapanis. May his memory be eternal. Mr. Panagiotis “Pete” Vasilios Sklapanis, 84, fell asleep in the Lord Monday, September 21, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born November 4, 1941, in Epiniana, Evrytanias, Greece, the son of Vasilios and Maria Avram Sklapanis. A faithful member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox, where he participated in the Greek Festival every year. Pete was married in 1968 and moved to the United States with his wife in 1969 to start a new life. He was the former owner of two restaurants, the Four Seasons and Cagney’s. A Dallas Cowboys fan, he enjoyed cars and was devoted to his family. Pete was a great provider and protector of his loved ones who adored him. He had a profound sense of humor and enjoyed his McDonalds coffee group. He is preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Mitsios, Taxaharis, Eleni and Thomas...
