The Falling Asleep of Helen Pappas Poulos
Winston-Salem - Mrs. Helen Pappas Poulos, 97 passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born October 26, 1927, in Kalesmenon, Greece, the daughter of John and Spirithoula Agnus Pappas.
Helen was a homemaker and a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. She also helped her husband with their business the New York Restaurant. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Theodore George Poulos; a son, George Theodore Poulos; two sisters, Renula Kangos and Litsa Koutras and her daughter-in-law, Beth Poulos. Survivors include her son, John Theodore Poulos of Winston-Salem; a grandson, Theordore George Poulos (Abby) of Advance; a great grandson, Riley Alexander Poulos of Advance and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Tuesday, March 4th, 2025:
Visitation: 10am, followed by a Trisagion
Funeral Service: 11am
at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
The service will be officiated by Father Minas Tsambounieris and Father Constantine Shepherd. Following the service, Internment will be at Forsyth Memorial Park, then returning to the Church Hall for the Makaria, the Meal of Mercy.
