Fotini Bobocharis March 27, 1929 - July 25, 2024 It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved sister in Christ, Fotini Demetrios Bobocharis, 95, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after many visits with family and friends. Fotini was born on March 27, 1929, in Karpenisi, Evrytania, Greece to the late Demetrios Bobocharis and Artemisia Chamis. She grew up in Karpenisi, Greece where her parents owned the town’s successful bakery. Fotini survived two wars while living in Greece, but she persevered and came to the United States with her sister Marika in 1955 to begin a new life filled with opportunities that the U.S. could give them. Fotini was a proud Greek woman, a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. The entire Greek community was her family. It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved sister in Christ, Mrs Dina Katsis (Katsimbas) of Kernersville NC, passed away at her beach home on June 16, 2025 in Kure Beach North Carolina.. She was born in Tsangarada Greece, to Apostolos Paniopoulos and Christina Stamataki. She married Bill Katsis in 1969 and soon after that immigrated to the United States. In the years that followed, she had two children, Dimosthenis and Theodora. Over 56 years she and her husband built a life and a business together. Dina was active in her church community in both the USA and Greece. She supported education of her family members and was a philanthropist in her hometown. Dina loved architecture and interior design, designing five homes over 30 years. Dina radiated warmth and charm in her many years, working alongside her husband at their restaurant in Greensboro.
