Kathy Paloumbas November 3, 1922 - December 8, 2021 It is with great sorrow, yet with hope in the Resurrection we inform you of the falling asleep of our beloved sister in Christ, Ms. Kathy Paloumbas Mrs. Ekaterini "Kathy" Hondros Paloumbas, 99, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at her residence. She was born November 3, 1922, in Fidakia, Evrytania, Greece, the daughter of Demitri and Panagiota Giannopoulos Hondros. She moved to the United States in 1967 and was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, where she was a member of the Philoptochos. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dionisios Paloumbas. Survivors include her children, Jim Paloumbas (Maria) of Winston-Salem, George Paloumbas (Melissa) of Kernersville and Maria Leris (George) of Florence, SC; eight grandchildren, Kathy Koutsoupias (George), Dennis Paloumbas (Mary), Taylor Sgroi (Sam), Maria Shipman (Johnny), Dena Pistolis (George), Jimmy Leris, Dennis Leris and Chris Leris; ele

Κύριε δόξα σοι.   Your Nativity, O Christ our God, has caused the light of knowledge to rise upon the world. For therein the worshippers of the stars were by a star instructed to worship You, the Sun of Righteousness, and to know You as Orient from on high. Our beloved friends and parishioners, It is with great sadness, yet with the hope of the resurrection, that we inform you, that our beloved brother in Christ, Mr. Aristides (Harry) Elefantis, the beloved father of Fotini Branon, Angie Raptis and George Elefantis, has fallen asleep in the Lord.  A Trisagion and funeral service will take place at 10:50 AM this Wednesday, December 8 th , at our church, with Father Anton Frunza and Father Sarantis Loulakis officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:20 AM at the church prior to service.  Interment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park.  It is the will of the family that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to our Annunciation Church or to Mt. Valley Hospice.  May his memory be eternal!
