His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos of Cyprus Visits Charlotte, NC

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America together with Metropolitan Alexios of Atlanta and the Greek Orthodox Community of Charlotte welcomed last night, Tue., Jan. 28, 2020, His Beatitude Archbishop Chrysostomos II of Cyprus, who is visiting the United States for medical reasons.


Following the airport welcome, the faithful of Charlotte received the visiting Hierarch to the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Trinity where Archbishop Chrysostomos presided over a Service of Doxology with more than 500 people in attendance. He gave his blessing to all at the end of the service and attended a welcoming dinner sponsored by the Archons of the area.

Archbishop Chrysostomos expressed his gratitude to Archbishop Elpidophoros, Metropolitan Alexios and all the clergy and laity in attendance for their love and prayers and said he would have preferred to visit under different circumstances rather than for health reasons
