POSITION AVAILABLE FOR PARISH ADMINISTRATOR

 

MISSION:  To implement the vision, direction and policies established by the Parish Priest and Parish Council in meeting the mission statement of our Annunciation parish.

FUNCTION OF WORK:  This administrative position oversees and manages the day-to-day operation and function of the parish.  This position facilitates the work of the Parish Council and Parish Priest.

LEVEL OF WORK:  This is a full time, salaried position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to) FOR DAILY OPERATION OF THE PARISH:

· Administration

· Finance

· Communications

· Parishioner Services

· Building/Event Services

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Minimum five (5) years of management and administration experience is preferred

2. Excellent managerial, supervisory, administrative, and organizational skills

3. Functional knowledge of Greek preferred

4. Excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft word, excel and desktop publisher and QuickBooks or comparable software

5. Excellent written and oral communication skills along with good interpersonal skills

6. Financial Acumen

 

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

1. Knowledge of ecclesiology and culture

2. Self-motivated, dependable, flexible, punctual, conscientious, honest, and trustworthy

3. Enjoys working with others

  Nicholas Thomas Mathes  March 1, 1934 - June 14, 2024 It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved brother in Christ, Nicholas Thomas Mathes "Nick", 90, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully in his home on June 14 surrounded by his family's love. Nick was born March 1, 1934 in Klapsi, Greece  to Thomas Nicholas  & Fotini Hamberis Mathes.  His early years were spent in his beloved village of Klapsi, where he expressed his adventurous and mischievous spirit accompanied by his equally mischievous friends, many of whom he remained close to until the end. During the Greek Civil War, Nick was separated from his family fleeing a siege in Karpenisi.  His family frantically searched for him, fearing he'd been captured by the Communist Party.  Fortunately, Nick had fallen into the Greek Nationalist Camp & was safely returned to his family after 3 terrifying days. Falling Asleep of Fotini Bobocharis

Fotini Bobocharis March 27, 1929 -  July 25, 2024 It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved sister in Christ, Fotini Demetrios Bobocharis, 95, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after many visits with family and friends.  Fotini was born on March 27, 1929, in Karpenisi, Evrytania, Greece to the late Demetrios Bobocharis and Artemisia Chamis. She grew up in Karpenisi, Greece where her parents owned the town’s successful bakery. Fotini survived two wars while living in Greece, but she persevered and came to the United States with her sister Marika in 1955 to begin a new life filled with opportunities that the U.S. could give them. Fotini was a proud Greek woman, a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. The entire Greek community was her family.    Fotini was a lifelong devoted member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was...
