News & Updates

UPDATE ON COMMEMORATIVE ALBUM
Many of you have inquired on when the album will be printed. Unfortunately, we are still waiting for people who paid for an ad to submit their message and photos. In order for us to complete this book we need all of you who purchased an ad to submit your missing parts by August 1st by emailing album@wsgoc.org or contacting Stacey Karagiorgis at 336-575-6904.  If you don't submit anything by this date, you risk the ad you paid for not being included in the printed album.
We are also looking for historical photos from the church ministries throughout the year. You can send these to the same email as above.

CHOIR
Our Parish is in need of musical leadership and volunteer choir members to participate in the Divine Liturgy.  Anyone interested in participating should call Helen Bambalis at 336-778-9255. Parishioners of all ages are encouraged to seriously consider the future of our choir ministry, which has been a part of our parish since 1937.
Your participation is vital if this ministry is to survive and be passed on to our children.
Our choir members stand ready and willing to answer any questions you may have regarding your participation. Please consider becoming a part of this important ministry.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

90th ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE ALBUM
We would like to include and honor in our 90th Anniversary Commemorative Album, all of our Annunciation Church members, past and present, who have served or are currently serving in the United States Military. Please provide any information of parents, grandparents and great-grandparents that have served and  additionally, if they have served in a particular war or conflict, and the branch that they served in.  We will need their full name.  Send the information via email to Ann-Marie Dentiste-Speas at amdentiste@gmail.com and add to the subject line, "Annunciation Veteran".

The deadline to submit this information is August 31st.

COFFEE HOUR
We will have a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the breezeway with a list of available dates for coffee hour through August.  Everyone is welcome to participate.  It is a wonderful way for two or more families to get together and share simple snacks in fellowship with other parishioners after Sunday service. The list will be updated monthly with available open dates for all to be able to participate. The available dates are:

July 24th, Aug. 7th, Aug. 14th, Sept. 4th.

You may also call the church office to sign up.
