Minas on Hellenic College Holy Cross

My Beloved Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I was asked by our Ladies Philoptochos to share a few words on my experience at Hellenic College – Holy Cross where I graduated from this past May. I'm not sure that a short paragraph expresses my true experience of this magnificent place, or as I like to call it "The Best Place on Earth", however, I ask that you spare just a few minutes to read this short synopsis along with my short exegesis on the importance of this Sacred and Holy institution.

My Beloved, as the feast of the Holy Cross was just celebrated, many thoughts and beautiful memories came to mind from my years at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology. My three years there as a seminarian were life changing and were some of the best years that I've lived. From spirituality, to academics, to community, and friendships, that are sure to last a lifetime, Holy Cross was a journey of my life that if I had the chance to do it over again I certainly would, without a second thought.

This Sunday my beloved brothers and sisters in Christ I ask you all to please support the second tray, which will be passed out by our Philoptochos to benefit our ONE AND ONLY SEMINARY in the United States. The seminary is of great importance to our Church and our Archdiocese because it is the "birthplace" of all our ministries and programs. This is where men train for the priesthood, or for lay ministry.  Without Holy Cross, we won't have a priest to read the gospel to us, or perform sacraments. Therefore, I humbly ask you to please support our Ladies Philoptochos in their efforts to support the men and women alike who are devoting their lives to serve Christ and His Church.

With Love in Christ,

Minas Emanuel Tsambounieris
