Shredding Event This Saturday

Our Ladies of Philoptochos group is hosting a Fundraising Shred Event this Saturday.  A Truck from ProShred of Raleigh will be on-site in our Fellowship Hall parking lot from 9am-1pm to shred confidential documents you no longer need to save.  Free Will Donations are being accepted and can be made via cash, check or debit/credit card.This event is open to the public.

If you see our ads on Instagram or Facebook, please like and share so we can get the word out to the greater Winston-Salem/Forsyth County  as much as possible.  A flyer is also attached to forward via email to your friends.  It includes more information with a listing of local organizations Philoptochos supports.

Fotini Bobocharis March 27, 1929 -  July 25, 2024 It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved sister in Christ, Fotini Demetrios Bobocharis, 95, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after many visits with family and friends.  Fotini was born on March 27, 1929, in Karpenisi, Evrytania, Greece to the late Demetrios Bobocharis and Artemisia Chamis. She grew up in Karpenisi, Greece where her parents owned the town’s successful bakery. Fotini survived two wars while living in Greece, but she persevered and came to the United States with her sister Marika in 1955 to begin a new life filled with opportunities that the U.S. could give them. Fotini was a proud Greek woman, a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend.
