Falling Asleep of Theodore “Ted” Demetrios Harris

  It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved brother in Christ Theodore “Ted” Demetrios Harris, 90, of Winston-Salem, NC, entered into eternal rest on August 25, 2024. Born in Tampa, Florida, on June 20, 1934, he was the son of the late Eleni and Demetrios Theoharis. Ted was a devoted structural engineer, having graduated in 1961 from North Carolina State University, and honorably served his country in the U.S Army during the Korean Conflict.   A man of deep faith, he was an active and committed member of the Winston Salem Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church. His devotion to his church and his faith played a significant role throughout his life.   Ted's infectious laughter, quick wit, and radiant smile will be forever cherished by his loved ones. He is survived by his son, Andrew Harris; daughter, Ashton Harris Rives (Kellan); sister, Christina Gionis (Kerry); his dear companion of over 30 years, Shirley Shouse; grandchildren, William

Falling Asleep of Reverend Father George Panagiotis Vlahos

Reverend Father George Panagiotis Vlahos It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved brother in Christ, Reverend Father George Panagiotis Vlahos has fallen asleep in the Lord. Father George, 85, of Clemmons, NC, died peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, August 5, 2024. He leaves behind his cherished wife of 61 years, Presvytera Betsy (nee Georgoulias); beloved daughters Chrisie (William) Alex of Burr Ridge, IL, and Maria (David) Swett of Davidson, NC; adored grandchildren Helen, George (Carly) and Peter Alex, Rhett (Tom) and Athan Small, Jillian (Cooper) Shannon and Joshua Swett; dear brother James (Marika); and many nieces and nephews in the U.S. and Greece. He was preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Father Panagiotis T. Vlahos and Presvytera Vasiliki P. Vlahos; his brother, Angelo (Maria); and sister, Helen V. Tsiolkas (James). Father George was born in the village of Daphni, Greece in 1939 and was raised in Klafsion,

Falling Asleep of Fotini Bobocharis

Fotini Bobocharis March 27, 1929 -  July 25, 2024 It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved sister in Christ, Fotini Demetrios Bobocharis, 95, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2024, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after many visits with family and friends.  Fotini was born on March 27, 1929, in Karpenisi, Evrytania, Greece to the late Demetrios Bobocharis and Artemisia Chamis. She grew up in Karpenisi, Greece where her parents owned the town’s successful bakery. Fotini survived two wars while living in Greece, but she persevered and came to the United States with her sister Marika in 1955 to begin a new life filled with opportunities that the U.S. could give them. Fotini was a proud Greek woman, a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend. The entire Greek community was her family.    Fotini was a lifelong devoted member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was an active member o
