  Did you know that the pelican is a Christian symbol of Christ? A mother pelican pierces her own breast with her beak to feed her young with her blood. The pelican's willingness to sacrifice is a symbol of Christ's sacrificial death and resurrection.    On October 5th from 9am-2pm we will be hosting our Fall Blood Drive.  The Red Cross is in dire need for blood. Falling Asleep of Nick Carros

  It is with sadness, but with hope in the Resurrection, that we inform you that our beloved brother in Christ  Nick Carros, passed away in his home September 18th, 2024, at the age of 87. The  beloved father, grandfather and husband, Nick Carros  was born on February 15th, 1937, in Papparousi, Evrytania, Greece. He was the son of Rena Cortessis Carros and Demetrios (Karagounis) Carros. Nick Immigrated to the United States at the age of 12 after the civil war in Greece in 1949. Nick graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School and lived the remainder of his life in Winston Salem, NC. He married Xanthi Tsoumas on September 7th, 1958, and they raised three children: Jimmy, Irene and Tammy. They remember their father as a devoted and loving parent, teaching them the values of hard work and integrity.
